About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Experimental Design and Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Supernal. As a key member of our Test, Evaluation, and Certification (TEC) Team, you will be responsible for leading the manufacturing portion of our experimental aircraft development program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement efficient manufacturing solutions and processes to support the test and prototype development of our electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) system.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers and peers to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships.
  • Provide manufacturing oversight and technical guidance to leadership on technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Assist in creating standard processes and procedures within the field while working with the design team throughout the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases.
  • Contemplate manufacturing solutions to support the installation of test instrumentation data-gathering systems to meet test program objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering field required; Master's or Ph.D. degree preferred.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience with manufacturing or design of an aerospace system/product development.
  • Experience leading a technical team and developing and implementing new processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and certification rules and processes, including ARP 4754A, ARP 4761, DO-160.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints.
What We Offer

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total pay range for this position is: $204,200—$260,700 USD. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
