Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Team Leader to join our team at The Golub Corporation. As a Meat Department Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the meat department, and ensuring the quality and freshness of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and helpful customer service at all times.
  • Manage the meat department, including cutting meat, operating equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensure the proper wrapping, weighing, labeling, and displaying of all meat merchandise.
  • Adhere to all company meat department standards, including case layout and trim specifications.
  • Maintain grind logs and meat logs consistent with store policy.
  • Receive all meat merchandise, including DSD and warehouse deliveries.
  • Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
  • Ability to pass a cutting test.
  • Satisfactory performance reviews.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • 6-12 months of related experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Bending: Frequent 3-5 Hours.
  • Exposure to Cold Environment: Constant 5-8 Hours.
  • Grasping/Finger Movement & Dexterity: Constant 5-8 Hours.
  • Pivoting: Constant 5-8 Hours.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Constant 5-8 Hours up to 75lbs.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: Occasional 1-3 Hours.
  • Standing: Constant 5-8 Hours.
  • Twisting: Constant 5-8 Hours.
  • Walking: Constant 5-8 Hours.
  • Lifting: Frequent 3-5 Hours up to 50lbs.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Occasional 1-3 Hours up to 2400lbs.
