Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and maintain monthly invoicing and Accounts Receivable ledgers, identifying problem accounts and facilitating resolutions.
  • Process Improvement: Streamline processes to increase organizational efficiency and implement best practices in financial operations.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training and coaching the billing team on AR processes and ensure compliance with accounting and financial regulations.
  • Cash Application and Reconciliation: Ensure accurate and timely cash application of receivables due and reconcile account balances, receipts, and expense claims.
  • Contract and Purchase Order Review: Analyze and review contracts, purchase orders, and change orders to validate accuracy of project setup and billing.
  • Subconsultant Tracking and Reporting: Assist in tracking subconsultants and generating reports on project status and billing.
  • Auditing and Compliance: Assist in audits as necessary, prepare reports, and respond to inquiries from auditors.
  • General Accounting and Administrative Duties: Perform related duties as assigned, including closing out completed contracts in accounting software.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: AA degree with Accounting major or Accounting Certification, or 4 years of equivalent billing-specific experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience using integrated accounting systems such as MAS200, Deltek, or Great Plains, and intermediate to advanced skill level with Excel.
  • Soft Skills: Team player with solid interpersonal skills, accurate and organized, and strong problem-solving skills.
