We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Accountant to join our team at DHI Builds, Inc. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial health and integrity of our company.
Your primary duties will include preparing monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss reports, as well as maintaining the general ledger. You will also handle accounts payable and receivable, reconcile accounts and bank statements, and manage collections with accuracy and efficiency.
In addition, you will provide support during audits, file required tax forms, and recommend software updates to optimize our accounting systems. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in keeping our finances running smoothly.
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss reports
- Maintain the general ledger and handle accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile accounts and bank statements and manage collections
- Provide support during audits and file required tax forms
- Recommend software updates to optimize our accounting systems
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Highly proficient with accounting software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Great written and verbal communication skills
