Position Overview:
The Inventory Allocation Specialist plays a crucial role in executing various assignments, projects, and analyses to support both preseason and in-season allocation strategies for designated regions, stores, and product categories.

This position involves assessing overall sales performance and identifying emerging trends to recommend actions for managing in-month receipts. The Specialist will provide weekly updates on current performance and trends to leadership, as well as address product-level inventory issues raised by stores.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work autonomously, delivering insightful analyses and effectively communicating conclusions and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales, Inventory, and Receipt Analysis:
    Assist in achieving end-of-month inventory plans and strategic initiatives for assigned regions, stores, and product categories. Monitor inventory positions in relation to sales trends and address store inventory concerns. Maintain and execute Excel-based reports and tools, and conduct ad hoc analyses as required.
  • Effective Communication:
    Facilitate timely communication with internal and external partners to inform and recommend allocation strategies and outcomes. Provide weekly updates to allocation leadership regarding results and inventory opportunities or risks, along with suggested actions to adapt to changing trends.

Qualifications:
Applicants should ideally have a Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of relevant work experience. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is essential, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with retail mathematics and experience with retail software (such as JDA or other allocation tools) is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
This role necessitates the ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer, which includes sitting, standing, walking, and engaging in meetings. Regular attendance and punctuality are expected.
