About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Private Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Sourceability. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and administering our VMware vSAN/vSphere private cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain our private cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, capacity utilization, and availability.
  • vSAN Cluster Monitoring: Monitor vSAN clusters to identify and resolve any issues that may impact performance or availability.
  • Storage Policy Management: Implement and maintain vSAN storage policies and profiles to meet the needs of our applications.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to vSAN configuration, performance, and connectivity.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with network administrators and operations teams to integrate vSAN with existing infrastructure components.
  • Software Updates: Perform routine updates, patches, and upgrades to infrastructure software, compute nodes, and related VMware components.
  • Data Migration: Plan and execute data migrations, expansions, and upgrades within the vSAN environment and public clouds.
  • Health Checks: Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning activities for vSAN clusters and private cloud infrastructure.
  • Documentation: Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry and data center trends and best practices related to VMware and other virtualization technologies.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of virtualization, networking, and operating systems in a data center environment.
  • Experience: Experience with Active Directory administration, and Windows/Linux Server basics.
  • Networking Skills: Strong grasp of networking basics: Firewalls, Routing, TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Ethernet, etc.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English (B2).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Organization: Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive, problem-solving attitude.
