Position Overview


We are in search of a skilled and committed Field Service Engineer with a focus on Packaging for a permanent position within our vibrant Engineering team.

This role is essential in maintaining the effective and efficient functioning of our packaging machinery and automated systems.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with delivering on-site preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and executing repair services for our clients, ensuring optimal uptime and system functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on packaging machinery and automated systems to guarantee peak performance and avert potential complications.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on packaging equipment and automated systems at client locations, reducing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring they comprehend the operation and upkeep of the machinery.
  • Collaborate closely with our engineering team to provide insights and feedback on equipment performance, possible enhancements, and innovative solutions.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive service records, documenting all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to packaging machinery and automation.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a secure working environment for yourself and others.
  • Engage in training and professional development opportunities to advance your technical skills and industry knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer, particularly with packaging machinery and automated systems.
  • A degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair intricate mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Excellent communication abilities, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical clients.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • A commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary.
  • Proficiency in utilizing software applications for reporting and documentation.
  • A valid driver's license.
