Job Overview

Wheelcare Express, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to lead our day-to-day HR functions across four branch offices. This role involves strategic planning, recruitment, employee onboarding and offboarding, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment: Collaborate with managers to develop and implement recruitment strategies, ensuring a diverse and talented workforce.
  • Employee Onboarding: Design and implement efficient onboarding processes, ensuring new hires are equipped to succeed in their roles.
  • Training: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, aligning with business objectives.
  • Compliance: Provide expert guidance on HR legal compliance, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
  • Policy Development: Create and maintain HR policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with company goals and legal requirements.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee benefits communication, open enrollment, and changes, ensuring seamless administration.
  • Leave Management: Develop and implement policies regarding employee leaves, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare HR reports for external entities and internal management, including audits, investigations, and unemployment claims.
  • Performance Management: Assist managers in implementing employee discipline and terminations, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
  • HRIS Maintenance: Maintain the HRIS system (BambooHR) and explore new functionalities for enhanced efficiency.
Requirements
  • BA in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 2-4 years progressive experience in HR, with a strong understanding of federal and CA labor law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, with experience in HRIS systems, particularly BambooHR
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and travel to remote offices
