About the Job

Jax Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our board-certified physicians in delivering top-notch interventional pain relief services.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for procedures and interactions by reviewing charts, schedules, and medical records.
  • Generate forms and documentation for patient education, informed consent, and referrals.
  • Obtain medical records, lab results, and diagnostic study results as needed.
  • Ensure a therapeutic and sanitary environment by inspecting the physical care area and maintaining fully stocked medical supplies and functional equipment.
  • Communicate with internal and external resources to procure necessary supplies and information.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments and personnel to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Provide direct patient care as assigned, including measuring and recording vital signs, obtaining and recording patient information, and administering IM injections.
  • Report, document, and record relevant information about patient condition, treatment, expectations, and progress.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • One or more years of experience as a medical assistant, CMA preferred.
  • Procedure Room Tech experience preferred.
  • Able to measure and record vital signs, manually and electronically.
  • Pain management office experience a plus.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and effectively in busy and/or stressful situations.
  • Able to read, analyze, interpret, and write medical records and documentation.
  • Able to record patient information, including a working knowledge of medical terminology.
