As a Compressed Air Field Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their air systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Your Role

As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for performing routine preventive service, troubleshooting, and repairing air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers. You'll also set, install, and pipe compressor systems, and display the ability to absorb a higher level of learning, including VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers
  • Set, install, and pipe compressor systems
  • Display the ability to absorb a higher level of learning, including VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits
  • Communicate with customers and Service Managers regarding all services performed and clearly present all options for any required repairs, upgrades, or other customer needs
  • Complete all service-related documentation, including service reports, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return documents
  • Attend training at our Air Academy and train with Senior Service Technicians
  • Promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment
  • Provide a high level of customer service and respond to customer needs while working to satisfy customer expectations
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians as scheduled by the Service Manager, with travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:
  • 1-2 years of technical experience in the mechanical, maintenance, or electrical field
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks within assigned deadlines
  • Customer-focused and take ownership of meeting the customer's needs
  • Ability to use computers to complete work orders, ordering parts, and training
  • Supply all basic required tools
  • Participate in occasional travel to Rock Hill, SC for paid training
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments, including extremes in temperature, with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling
  • Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory
  • Ability to use computers to complete work orders
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, certifications a plus (EPA Certified)
  • Valid driver's license and fluent in English
