Mission Overview
We deliver comprehensive field, range, testing, chemical, and biological laboratory support to the U.S. Army at the West Desert Test Center (WDTC). This facility serves as a pivotal testing ground for the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, overseeing the evaluation of chemical and biological defense systems, as well as incendiary and smoke/obscuration munitions systems, along with associated operational concepts.
Additionally, we facilitate non-CB testing at the WDTC for the Department of Defense and other federal entities, encompassing environmental assessments and munitions demilitarization.

Established in 2004, our Dugway Operation has integrated with several partners, creating a robust team of over 170 professionals dedicated to excellence.

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified individual to take on the role of Project Manager for the Special Programs Division. This role requires serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the presentation of operational and technical topics through both presentations and practical demonstrations. Responsibilities include reviewing requirements, performing Technical Integration Plans (TIPs), and providing expert guidance for the design and implementation of training and testing initiatives. The Project Manager will coordinate and execute training programs, manage resources, and oversee multiple organizational efforts while adhering to various technical directives. Additionally, the role involves developing and managing work breakdown structures and monitoring earned value management metrics.

Qualifications:

Essential Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a comparable combination of education and military experience.

A current Top-Secret security clearance is mandatory.

Applicants should have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in managing large-scale projects, including expertise in schedule and cost tracking, reporting, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly.
  • Work may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

Work Environment:

  • Position is based at the Dugway Proving Ground.

Equipment Proficiency:

Competence in operating standard office equipment such as personal computers, printers, copiers, telephones, and other necessary tools.

Attendance Expectations:

  • Regular working hours are Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Punctuality and consistent attendance are crucial for meeting project deadlines.
  • Flexibility in work hours is essential to accommodate surge situations based on mission requirements.

Professional Conduct:

All employees are expected to exhibit professional behavior in interactions with customers, management, and colleagues. Clear and effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required. Appropriate grooming and attire are necessary for the position, ensuring no safety risks to oneself or others. Maintaining a positive work environment through professional conduct is essential. Independent transportation to the work site is required, and travel may be necessary to support projects, which could include airline travel. Compliance with safety regulations, including the use of seat belts and prohibition of mobile device use while driving, is mandatory. A valid driver's license is required for operating various vehicles.
