Job Summary
Toyota is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Production Engineer to join our Battery group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating battery manufacturing equipment to support new model launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate battery manufacturing equipment to support new model launches
- Support the Battery department's objective to execute Capital Projects from planning thru Start of Production (SOP)
- Lead the cost planning, budget creation, machine specification, procurement, validation, installation, pre-productions trials and launch of battery production lines
- Participate in cross-functional working groups across the local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals
- Construction / Equipment installations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field or 5+ years of equivalent manufacturing experience
- Experience in production preparation of manufacturing and execution of capital projects, preferably from initial planning to start of production
- Project management experience dealing with capital investments greater than $250K
- AutoCAD experience, including the ability to read, interpret and modify 2D drawings
- Ability to work weekend, holiday and shutdown work, including business travel, both domestic and international, up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree, above a Bachelor's
- Experience with laser welding
- Equipment installation and validation experience
- Experience with chemical procedures in a manufacturing environment
