About this role:

We are seeking a skilled Automated Line Control Specialist to join our team at American Honda Motor. As a key member of our Global Automated Line Control (GALC) systems team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of GALC systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize Mass Production DC tools through torque data analysis, equipment management, and countermeasure activity for daily torque/GALC issues.
  • Countermeasure and communicate daily production issues related to torque and lot control.
  • Maintain activity tracking database daily, providing communication between shifts on important tool-related issues.
  • Lead department regarding calibration requirements.
  • Maintain and monitor all DC tool calibration and schedules.
  • Lead assigned GALC business plan projects (installation, training, debug, and follow-up) to achieve continuous improvement of SQCDM.
  • Investigate new technology and collaborate with suppliers to find innovative tool solutions that will improve cost of ownership.

Requirements:

  • No experience required if degree obtained, co-op preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial and Robotics); or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Desired skills: self-development, technical acumen, critical/innovative thinking, results orientation, creating teamwork and valuing relationships.
