About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Safety Coordinator to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive safety program that ensures the well-being of our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and execute a safety program that meets or exceeds industry standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and clients.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with project superintendents, operations managers, and field personnel to identify and mitigate safety risks, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Ensure Subcontractor Compliance: Monitor and enforce safety and health programs, policies, and regulations among subcontractors, ensuring a consistent and safe working environment.
  • Accident Investigation and Reporting: Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Training and Development: Research and select training courses for employee education and certifications, ensuring our team has the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
Requirements
  • OSHA Certification: Possess OSHA-30 Hour certification, with OSHA-500 certification preferred.
  • Commercial Construction Experience: Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong understanding of industry-specific safety standards.
  • Education and Qualifications: Hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management, safety engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Possess knowledge of industry-specific safety standards, including OSHA 1926 Construction, and stormwater and erosion control requirements.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to manage and administer safety orientations, oversee substance abuse programs, and investigate injuries and illnesses on-site.
