Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Systems Installation and Testing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for the installation and certification of life safety systems and associated devices according to local and national codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Install fire safety systems and associated devices in accordance with local and national codes and standards.
- Conduct thorough testing and certification of installed systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with building engineers, property management, and site contacts to ensure smooth installation and testing processes.
- Verify the integrity of all work prior to tying-in to building systems and repair as needed to ensure a fully compliant system operation.
- Provide documentation according to NFPA standards upon completion of work, including sign-off upon successful testing and certification.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and provide weekly/daily job status for review with management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the sprinkler industry is required.
- NICET certification is required and must be pursued and acquired within the first year of employment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as customer service orientation, are essential.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently, are required.
- A clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site are necessary.
- Flexibility with scheduling requirements, including evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments, is required.
