The Judge Group is looking for a qualified Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance Manager for a prominent food production company.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing safety protocols and compliance measures to ensure that all safety concerns are addressed and compliance with regulations is upheld as mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Additionally, you will support the plant team in achieving both individual and collective safety objectives while performing all tasks safely, efficiently, and accurately to enhance the overall performance of the facility in Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular updates to the leadership team regarding safety issues, compliance challenges, and corrective action strategies.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of reports, surveys, and audits required by regulatory bodies.
  • Develop, review, and maintain the Emergency Response Plan to align with compliance standards set by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Stay informed about all relevant FDA, OSHA, EPA, and other local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Oversee and maintain the Respiratory Protection Plan to meet compliance requirements, including training, maintenance, fit testing, and medical evaluations.
  • Implement necessary measures to comply with state and U.S. EPA Clean Air Act regulations, including required reporting forms.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable Sewer and Water Permitting requirements.
  • Guide, train, and advise safety teams to promote continuous improvement in the facility's behavioral and physical safety processes.
  • Conduct internal safety audits and inspections to identify potential risks and hazards.

Qualifications for Candidates:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in compliance and behavioral-based safety.
  • Familiarity with FDA and EPA regulations.
