We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Control Consultant to join our team at Marsh McLennan Agency. As a Risk Control Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering risk consulting services to clients, including implementing loss prevention programs, employee training, and OSHA compliance services.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Producers and other internal colleagues to assist clients in reducing actual and potential losses by creating, implementing, and improving safety and loss control programs based on loss history, regulation, organizational needs, and industry best practices.
Establish relationships with clients and make regular visits to client locations to perform audits and assessments, research safety and loss control issues, analyze client loss information, and develop and conduct presentations and training sessions with client management and employees.
Serve as a liaison between insurance company loss control and clients by coordinating visits and service plans, following up and assisting clients with implementing recommendations submitted by insurance company loss control representatives.
Track all client services, projects, and progress, and attend industry and professional meetings, conventions, seminars, and training courses within scope of employment.
Requirements
5+ years of experience with insurance loss control and/or safety management, ideally within such industries as Real Estate, Construction, Wholesale Distribution, Technology.
Technical knowledge of OSHA regulations for Real Estate, Construction, Manufacturing and general industry, loss control best practices, and workers compensation programs.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external entities, including Producers, client leadership, and insurance company representatives.
Preferred Qualifications
ARM, LCM, CSP, and/or other safety-related designations.
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Safety Management, or related discipline.
Knowledge of loss control strategies related to environmental remediation, vehicle operations, property inspection, fire prevention, general liability, etc.
Knowledge of DOT, NFPA, ANSI, and Industrial Hygiene Practices.
