Job Summary

As a Shift Lead at Walgreens, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the store during your shift. This includes opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience
    • Engage with customers and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
    • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by greeting customers, offering assistance, and resolving customer issues.
  • Operations
    • Responsible for holding store keys and opening/closing the store as needed.
    • Assist with and coach other team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
    • Responsible for registering all sales on assigned cash register and maintaining accurate inventory counts.
    • Assist with evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
  • Training & Personal Development
    • Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
  • Communications
    • Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members by communicating assigned tasks to team members when store management is not present.
    • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Requirements
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Obtains and maintains valid PTCB or ExCPT certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
