Store Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Lead to join our team at Walgreens. As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring a positive customer experience, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Experience
- Engage with customers and patients, providing exceptional service and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Model and share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Operations
- Hold store keys to open and close the store without management as necessary.
- Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the back door for vendor deliveries.
- Responsible for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
- Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and assist in reverse logistics.
- Assist manager or assistant store manager in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of on-hand quantities.
- Assist with ensuring the Outdate program is followed with team members.
- Responsible for basic department pricing and making daily price changes.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary.
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.
- Support execution of Pickup program.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
- Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested in states where allowed without licensure, certification, or registration.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Responsible for bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Training & Personal Development
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
- Communications
- Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members by communicating assigned tasks to team members when store management is not present.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
- Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
- Obtains and maintains valid PTCB or ExCPT certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
