Job Summary

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic examinations, including routine and specialized procedures.
  • Operate complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment, ensuring accurate and precise results.
  • Prepare for and assist physicians in radiological diagnostic and/or guidance imaging during invasive procedures.
  • Explain and educate patients on procedures, medications, and contrast media, alleviating fear and anxiety.
  • Mentor and foster a constructive environment for students and new technologists to build confidence in their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist certification and evidence of application for CRT.
  • OR CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist (from state where work is being performed).
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification upon hire.
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy certification within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years recent relevant experience in diagnostic radiology.
  • General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform routine radiographic examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including prioritizing assignments and working within standardized operating procedures.
Working Conditions

This is a per diem/casual position, with variable hours and days of the week. The pay range is $47.24 to $59.04 per hour.
