Job Summary

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic radiographic examinations, operating complex equipment, and ensuring that routine and priority tasks are completed within established time frames.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations, including routine and specialized procedures.
  • Operate complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment, ensuring proper function and maintenance.
  • Prepare for and assist physicians in radiological diagnostic and/or guidance imaging during invasive procedures.
  • Explain procedures, medications, and associated biological effects to patients in a clear and professional manner.
  • Mentor and educate students and new technologists in radiology procedures and techniques.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist certification and evidence of application for CRT (may not begin work until CRT is verified online).
  • OR CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist (from state where work is being performed).
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification upon hire.
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy certification within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years recent relevant experience in radiology.
  • General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing assignments and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information to patients and colleagues.
Working Conditions

This is a per diem/casual position, with variable hours and shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care and service.
