Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic radiographic examinations, operating complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment, and ensuring that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic examinations, including routine and specialized procedures.
  • Operate complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment, ensuring accurate and precise results.
  • Ensure that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Prepare for and assist physicians in a variety of radiological diagnostic and/or guidance imaging during invasive procedures.
  • Explain and educate patients on procedures, medications, and associated biological effects in a clear and professional manner, alleviating fear and anxiety.
  • Mentor and foster a constructive environment that helps students and new technologists build confidence in their skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist and evidence of application for CRT (may not begin work until the CRT is verified online).
  • OR CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist (from state where work is being performed).
  • ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire.
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire if required at the affiliate.
  • 2 years recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
  • Capable of performing routine radiographic examinations as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS)).
