District Manager

As a key member of the GNC team, you will be responsible for establishing a strong customer service and selling culture in all assigned stores. This role requires a strong leader who can execute corporate directives, develop strategies to maximize people development, and ensure maximum profitability through the execution of short and long-term strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all appropriate merchandising programs in an accurate and timely manner while adhering to GNC's established standards of store presentation.
- Anticipate, analyze, and determine all sales and operational opportunities within the marketplace and contribute ideas, strategies, and innovations based on knowledge of local market conditions and store environment.
- Ensure stores have proper inventory levels to support sales growth and to meet local market demand.
- Complete store visit reports per an established visitation cycle ensuring time for efficient and effective store visits and follow up as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all revised reports and effectively manage schedules for Managers.
- Hire, train, discipline, review, and terminate employees.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required physical inventories and related Loss Prevention assignments/requirements and comply with Target Store Program to manage overall shrinkage.
- Conduct real estate site evaluations and perform functions of store openings, franchise conversions, and remodels by coordination of related departments.
- Identify potential new store locations for real estate committee review.
- Timely communication of all mall/strip issues or vacancies to the real estate department.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
- 8+ years progressive retail experience required.
- 5+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect).
- Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred.
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
- Must have current driver's license.

Base Salary: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range. The actual base salary offered for this position depends on several factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our base salary is one component of GNC's competitive total rewards strategy.
