Initially introduced as a 'test and learn' initiative, the ESM Help Desk has since transformed into an essential element of our procurement operations. This cross-functional team possesses an extensive understanding of procurement procedures, striving to optimize purchasing channels and ensure that each transaction is directed to the most suitable and efficient pathway.
This position is well-suited for a professional dedicated to improving the client experience, prioritizing transactional excellence, and demonstrating innovation and influence in enhancing the procurement of goods and services from external vendors.
Compensation: $60.00 per hour
Shift: First
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the procurement requisition process, contract release (e.g., PO creation), and contract retrieval functions.
- Ensure accurate financial coding on all incoming procurement requests.
- Propose system and process improvements, and conduct necessary testing.
- Address client inquiries regarding all aspects of contracting and procurement promptly, utilizing superior client relationship management skills.
- Generate and distribute management reports in accordance with established procedures and deadlines.
- Act as a subject matter expert on financial approval policies, authorized signers policies, and procurement policies, applying these policies to real-world scenarios with internal stakeholders.
- Collect and analyze procurement and sourcing data, employing industry best practices. Audit and interpret data trends.
- Communicate procurement and sourcing policies effectively and organize complex data in an easily understandable format.
