Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Category Manager to lead our Indirect Site Purchasing team in North America. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic category management plans to optimize site purchases and drive cost savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category management strategies to optimize site purchases and drive cost savings
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement best-in-class purchasing category strategies
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
  • Develop and manage sourcing activities to deliver category strategy objectives
  • Lead contractual discussions with vendors and ensure successful transition from sourcing process to achieve business and functional needs
  • Develop and maintain robust contract management process with SLA tracking and periodic executive meetings
  • Develop and validate KPI reports to track program performance and ensure regular stakeholder engagement
  • Manage and react to day-to-day operational challenges with a centralized supply base
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing, Logistics, Business, or similar field required; Master's degree preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing company/environment preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in purchasing, sourcing, and procurement with a focus on indirect goods and services highly preferred
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects at once with demonstrated project management and supplier management skills
  • Strong business management skills including the ability to develop and execute strategy
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills and analytical skills
