POSITION SUMMARY:

The Classroom Technology Support Specialist is responsible for delivering outstanding customer assistance for classroom technology systems and software across all educational sites within the district, adhering to established standards and protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Extensive familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Workspace;
  • Exceptional customer service abilities;
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities;
  • Meticulous attention to detail;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Proficient in resolving a variety of technology-related issues independently;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, utilizing diverse communication methods to facilitate information flow and collaboration;
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, parents, and community members.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's degree or higher in a relevant technology discipline or a related field; OR
  • Experience in an educational setting providing support for classroom technology or in a customer service role related to technology.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state regulations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certifications such as A+, CompTIA, or similar;
  • Experience with audiovisual support, installation, and configuration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Address service requests related to classroom technology in alignment with established standards and protocols.
  2. Conduct basic troubleshooting, assessment, and diagnostic procedures on technology hardware and software.
  3. Facilitate the installation and setup of classroom technology and audiovisual equipment.
  4. Collaborate with team members and vendors on various projects involving classroom technology upgrades and maintenance.
  5. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation as required.
  6. Adhere to all district standards and complete necessary administrative tasks, including timesheets and expense reports.
  7. Follow internal communication and reporting protocols.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role is situated in a professional office environment, frequently utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and printers. The position may involve direct interaction with staff, students, and the community. Physical demands may include lifting or moving items weighing up to 25 pounds.
