About the Role

CBase Inc is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team as a Senior Category Manager. This is a hybrid role that requires strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to develop and implement comprehensive strategic programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the company in business transactions with internal and external organizations, ensuring effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Develop and implement strategies, negotiations, RFPs, and contracts to meet the needs of internal stakeholders while addressing pricing, acquisition, total cost, lead-time, and supply.
  • Create and manage long-term contracts, developing and promoting strategic partnerships with suppliers.
  • Work closely with internal customers and stakeholders to understand their business needs, objectives, product/service requirements, and broader operational processes.
  • Effectively communicate with management levels both internally and externally, identifying opportunities for improvement and making constructive suggestions for change.
  • Assist with the Training program for the Procurement & Supply Chain team and the Supplier Diversity program as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3 years of related work experience, with demonstrable skills in category management, commercial negotiations, securing hard savings and cost avoidance, and executing complex deals in a fast-changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 7 years of related work experience, with knowledge of Source to Pay systems, strong project management skills, process mapping abilities, supplier risk analysis, and supplier relationship management.
Skills and Certifications
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A potential team leader with strong communication skills, understanding of supply chain concepts, and work experience applying those concepts.
  • Negotiating and influencing skills, self-directed, and resourceful with the ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks with exhibited follow-through and initiative.
  • Business understanding, particularly in project management, early supplier involvement, total cost management, and financial analysis.
  • Understanding and use of technical tools for analysis, problem-solving, forecasting, and quality improvement.
  • Previous experience with Source to Pay systems and proficiency in Excel.
  • High ethical standard.
