Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

  • Oversee all facets of accounting systems and processes, including month-end closures, ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of internal information systems.
  • Manage the accounts payable cycle, ensuring accurate recording of all transactions.
  • Supervise accounts receivable, cash inflows, and revenue. Prepare billing invoices and manage collections.
  • Assist in all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks, including journal entry review/posting, balance sheet reconciliations, and expense allocations.
  • Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned by the Controller and/or CFO.
  • Responsible for financial reporting.
  • Act as the Great Plains Subject Matter Expert, providing training and serving as the point of contact for system inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is advantageous.
  • Non-profit sector experience is essential.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
