Job Title: General Manager of Residential Roofing and Exterior Home Services

Valor Exterior Partners is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and oversee the success of one of our subsidiaries in New Castle, DE. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a residential roofing and exterior home services company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management: Oversee the entire operations of the company, including scheduling, project management, procurement, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Sales Management: Lead, manage, and develop the sales team to meet or exceed revenue targets. Work with the sales force to develop strategies for customer acquisition, lead generation, and market penetration.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate a team of office staff, project managers, salespeople, and roofing crews. Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and high performance.
  • Project Oversight: Ensure all roofing projects are completed efficiently and meet both company and customer expectations for quality, timelines, and budgets.
  • Customer Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Handle escalations and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the company budget, monitor costs, and ensure profitability. Analyze financial reports, track KPIs, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Vendor & Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the company has the necessary materials and resources at competitive prices.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Business Development: Work closely with the CEO/Owner to identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion strategies.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase customer acquisition and retention. Identify potential markets and opportunities for growth in residential roofing.
  • Quality Control: Maintain rigorous standards for workmanship and customer service, conducting inspections and quality checks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management or leadership role, ideally within the roofing or construction industry, with proven experience in sales management.
  • Sales Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and grow a successful sales team, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Experience in residential roofing sales preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sales, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and analyze P&L statements.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Knowledge of residential roofing techniques, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with project management and CRM software, as well as Google Productivity apps.
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Acculynx CRM experience is a plus
  • Sage Intacct is a plus
