Job Title: Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join our team at C.A. Murren and Sons. As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing safety processes and procedures to ensure the successful completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct project site inspections and comprehensive safety assessments to monitor progress and support project team members.
  • Provide training and education to company personnel regarding safety requirements and recommend advancements.
  • Coordinate project safety programs and assist in planning and coordinating work to minimize risks and aggressively manage losses involving injuries or property damages.
  • Participate in inspections, incidents, and near miss investigations, and complete accident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Identify and analyze risks and hazards on project sites and build a plan to mitigate these risks and hazards in future.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and provide safety training on project sites and in regional offices, and assist in developing the project safety training schedule.
  • Oversee compliance with the Company's safety standards and communicate with leadership team to provide updates on the status of projects, address concerns, and plan specific actions as needed to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Provide regular updates to the Safety Director and provide leadership to employees and management on health and safety strategy.
  • Keep up to date on relevant health and safety developments and manage multiple projects, establish priorities, and accomplish goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in the construction (civil preferred) safety field.
  • Travel will be required up to 4-5 days per week.
  • OSHA 500, 510.
  • First Aid, CPR, AED instructor or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Highly knowledgeable in Excavations, Confined Space Entry, Traffic Control, Respirable Crystalline Silica, Rigging, Heavy Equipment Operations, and Fall Protection.
  • Self-motivated, Excellent attention to detail, and Excellent verbal and written communication.
