Job Summary

As a Lead Field Engineer at Carrier, you will play a crucial role in the field commissioning of building automation systems tailored to each customer's needs. This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual who can act as a role model for other field engineers. Your primary responsibilities will include solving complex problems, leading training sessions for less experienced Field Engineers, and serving as a contact in the field as a product and technical expert.

Key Responsibilities

Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.

Serve as the local contact for technical issues and provide effective solutions for complex system problems.

Deliver turnkey project results on medium to large projects, ensuring systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.

Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports, and implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.

Communicate and document project status and details to customers, and provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

4+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a technical field.

Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and lift items up to 50lbs.

Valid and current Driver's License and insurability by the company's insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, Associate Degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or a related field.

Proficiency with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.

Ability to navigate and integrate into various building automation systems, and expertise with TCP/IP networks, including wireless technology.

Experience interacting with diverse challenges, requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines, and ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
