About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Title Assistant to provide direct support to our Title Officers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting research, preparing recordings, and handling various tasks assigned by the Title Officers. This role may also involve the maintenance and issuance of low-risk title insurance products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct land/name searches in our title plant
  • Utilize our title production software to produce and maintain low-risk title insurance products
  • Review documents for recording at the county courthouse
  • Prepare policy write-ups prior to issuing policies and handle post-policy requests
  • Conduct file updates and oversee the delivery thereof
  • Handle requests as assigned by the Title Officers or department team leader
  • Provide phone coverage for Title Officers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management and co-workers
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
