Job Title: Front Desk Agent

At Hyatt House Las Colinas, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide attentive and courteous service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout.
  • Maximize room revenue and occupancy by effectively managing room assignments and rates.
  • Answer guest inquiries regarding hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Process guest payments and handle cash handling and credit policies.
  • Be aware of all hotel rates, packages, and special promotions.
  • Be familiar with in-house groups and restricted dates.
  • Take room reservations and follow the rate-quoting scenario.
  • Be knowledgeable about hospitality terminology and emergency procedures.
  • Handle check-ins and checkouts efficiently and courteously.
  • Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees.
  • Operate the Front Desk computer system effectively.
  • Complete tasks and duties on the shift checklist in a timely manner.
  • Balance and prepare individual paperwork for closing of shift.
  • Maintain and market promotions and guest programs.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • Computer experience is required.
  • Customer Service experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to maintain regular attendance and adhere to Highgate Hotel Standards.
  • Must be able to maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Must be able to comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations.
  • Must be able to maximize efforts towards productivity and identify problem areas.
  • Must be able to handle problems effectively and maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs.
