HOW A SECURITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Support Personnel Security processing by managing documentation, tracking clearance progress, and liaising with government security representatives from various agencies.

Under government guidance, conduct security briefings and indoctrinations regarding security protocols and practices.
Assist in the creation of security awareness resources.
Prepare and conduct security briefings, program orientations, and annual refresher sessions as required.
Help develop and maintain internal clearance databases and filing systems.
Contribute to the formulation of security policies and ensure adherence to established protocols.
Maintain records and files related to correspondence, reports, and internal communications, and draft necessary documentation.
Perform administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and data preparation for transmission, while keeping databases updated.

Review security clearance documentation prior to submission to ensure completeness and identify any additional information needed.

Conduct interviews with subjects in person, via phone, or through written communication to gather necessary clarifications.

With government oversight, undertake investigative tasks, compile investigative reports with recommendations, and assist in enforcing the Code of Conduct.

Respond promptly to inquiries regarding the status of pending cases or other adjudicative support tasks.

With government direction, handle written and telephonic inquiries; verify case statuses; and fulfill requests for routine and ad hoc reporting of personnel security statistics.

Manage badge and credential records within the badge system.
Process requests for Identification and Courier Cards.
Assist with visitor access and control procedures.
Perform additional security administration duties as assigned.
Provide backup support within divisions as necessary.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

A Bachelor's Degree along with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in personnel, physical, or technical security, or a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
Discretion in handling sensitive personal information is essential.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate self-motivation, and effectively solve problems.
Comprehensive understanding of federal regulations governing the SCI and collateral security processes.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,300 - $135,700, though actual compensation may vary based on experience, location, and contractual obligations.
