Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Operations team to ensure 24/7/365 multi-cloud operations, maximizing uptime and security while expanding services to new cloud regions and providers.
  • Partner with developers to promote secure coding practices and assist in addressing security vulnerabilities.
  • Deploy new security tools and systems in alignment with InfoSec policies.
  • Assess the implementation of security tools; recommend and execute enhancements.
  • Maintain both development and production environments for engineering teams.
  • Provide expert-level support within the organization to resolve internal and external customer issues.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and enforcement of policies aimed at improving physical, network, and system security.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and enhancement of development and quality strategies.
  • Advise on technical security policies and consult with development teams on remediation strategies.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with secure development practices.
  • Promote and advocate for a DevOps culture and product ownership among engineering teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers in the development and implementation of infrastructure changes that adhere to security best practices.
  • Oversee the Incident Response process and propose/design improvements for security incidents.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as a responder.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or security engineering.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, including EC2, IAM, Load Balancers, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, KMS, API Gateway, Elasticsearch, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Inspector.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration from a security perspective.
  • Experience in a fast-paced 24/7 operations environment, adept at identifying and addressing potential and active issues.
  • Proficient in designing, implementing, and supporting service provider environments (xSP, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, MBaaS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using Jenkins or similar CI tools.
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other infrastructure management software.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Strong understanding of security solutions, including IDS/IPS, WAF, SAST/DAST, and Malware/Antivirus.
  • Familiarity with Penetration Testing tools and remediation processes.
  • Ability to implement safeguards for network security, including perimeter and lateral movement protections.
  • Conduct recurring security scans and develop remediation strategies.
  • Understanding of OWASP, APTs, and anti-ransomware strategies.
  • Knowledge of SOC-2, ISO27001, and other auditing methodologies.

The total compensation package for this full-time position includes a salary range of $120,000 - $160,000. Individual compensation packages are determined by factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, training, and market conditions. In addition to cash compensation, Brivonians are eligible for benefits and perks based on their work locations.
