Role: Senior IT Systems Engineer – Laboratory/Manufacturing Environment

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Location: On-site in Branchburg, NJ

Contract Duration: 1 Year+

Position Overview:

We are looking for a proficient and committed Senior IT Systems Engineer to enhance our team. This role is crucial for the effective functioning of our laboratory and manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical foundation, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and a dedication to providing outstanding support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT teams, Manufacturing, and Quality Control to deliver ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of computerized instruments, associated workstations, and software solutions, including 'on-call' services as necessary.
  • Manage and oversee user account access requests for lab and/or manufacturing systems.
  • Design, implement, customize, configure, and support information systems to align with laboratory/manufacturing workflows, data requirements, and reporting needs.
  • Create, develop, and maintain scripts to automate tasks and integrate laboratory instruments with information management systems.
  • Work with business teams to produce and maintain thorough documentation for customizations, configurations, workflow mapping, integration system testing, user acceptance testing, SOPs, User Guides, Training Materials, Test Plans, and Validation Documents, while promoting continuous improvement and implementing system enhancements for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Partner with the QA/CSV department to assist with GxP validation processes, including IQ/OQ/PQ activities and test script development/execution, for both on-premises and enterprise systems deployments. Take part in the execution of validation protocols/Installation Verification Instructions (IVIs).
  • Ensure that computerized systems related to lab or manufacturing processes are maintained and administered in compliance with corporate and regulatory standards, including data security protocols.
  • Support Data Integrity initiatives such as Audit Trail Reviews, CAPAs, Access Roster reviews, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in client support with a proven ability to work with clients across a wide range of IT and computing skill levels.
  • Experience with scripting languages, particularly PowerShell.
  • Prior experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry is essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with over 5 years of experience as a lead administrator or in a similar role within a biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organization.
