POSITION OVERVIEW:
The role involves the design, development, and implementation of efficient strategies for testing and diagnosing systems and equipment, along with their upkeep. This includes the preparation of diagnostic programs and the design of testing fixtures and equipment. The position is responsible for establishing parameters for sample tests and specifying the necessary tests to be conducted. It also entails data collection and defining essential modifications in testing apparatus, procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Management of the equipment and resources within the testing engineering domain is a key responsibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the testing equipment needs across all departments to meet production objectives and ensure the quality of products manufactured by the company, enabling effective prioritization of testing department activities.
- Direct the design, development, and implementation of testing systems, including characterization and control, covering functional testing, InCircuit, and RF technologies (Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, etc.).
- Engage in new equipment design initiatives, planning modifications to existing or replicated equipment, assessing costs, time requirements, and resource allocation for successful execution.
- Supervise the ongoing maintenance and optimal performance of all current testing equipment on-site, adhering to company standards and requirements.
- Document and communicate all modifications in alignment with departmental engineering policies and procedures.
- Assist manufacturing personnel with problem-solving related to the testing processes.
- Contribute to the validation of new equipment introductions using statistical methodologies (R&R).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A completed university degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related discipline.
- A relevant Master's degree is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in English is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
EXPERTISE:
- Proficient in the design and analysis of electronic circuits.
- Experience in the analysis of testing systems.
- Familiarity with measurement systems and electronic instrumentation.
- Utilization of Six Sigma methodologies.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of programming concepts (Visual Studio, C++, C#, NI LabView).
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Comprehension of analog electronic circuits.
- Experience in managing personnel.
