We seek skilled automotive technicians/mechanics who can work autonomously while also collaborating effectively with team members when necessary. Our full-service facility is looking for dedicated professionals to help foster a successful work environment.


Key Responsibilities of the Automotive Service Technician:

As a technician at Midas, you will be responsible for a diverse range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks, including:

  • Utilizing advanced computer systems for diagnostics
  • Performing tire services and repairs
  • Managing car heating and air conditioning systems
  • Handling steering and suspension work
  • Replacing belts and hoses
  • Maintaining radiator and engine cooling systems
  • Working on batteries, starting, and charging systems
  • Conducting brake inspections and repairs
  • Executing oil changes
  • Addressing check engine light issues
  • Providing muffler and exhaust services
  • Conducting visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications and Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • The ability to independently repair vehicles while also thriving in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust systems, suspension, and engine diagnostics
  • A proven track record of high personal productivity
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental standards applicable to repair facilities
  • Experience with shop equipment, including lifts, tire changing tools, alignment machines, and diagnostic scanners
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical degree is a plus
  • State of Michigan auto repair certifications
  • A valid driver's license
  • Personal tools and equipment (diagnostic scanner/tools preferred)
  • The capability to service both foreign and domestic vehicles
