We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our Core Laboratory team at Tufts Medical Center in downtown Boston.

About the Role: As a key member of our Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, you will provide technical, regulatory, and clinical oversight of core laboratory functions, including clinical chemistry, mass spectrometry, immunology, and laboratory information systems. Your expertise will drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards.

About the Ideal Candidate: We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong background in laboratory medicine, preferably board certified in Clinical Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. A subspecialty training in Clinical Chemistry or other core lab functions is a plus. You should have excellent communication and managerial skills, as well as a commitment to teaching and clinical service.

About the Team: Our department is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies (AABB), and the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI). We perform approximately two million tests annually, with a strong focus on quality and patient care.

About the Location: Tufts Medical Center is a 400-bed tertiary care academic medical center located in vibrant downtown Boston, adjacent to the Tufts University School of Medicine. The location offers access to world-class amenities and opportunities for professional growth.
