Job Summary

As a Research Laboratory Manager, Pathology, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the LABS Core, working closely with the Director to set priorities for active studies and manage multiple tasks for yourself and others. You will ensure sufficient resources are available to accomplish work unit timelines and goals. This role requires personnel management responsibilities, including selecting, training, directing, and mentoring research laboratory staff. You will also conduct annual employee performance evaluations, monitor productivity and performance, and identify training opportunities to improve operational effectiveness. Additionally, you will provide safety training to new laboratory users, ensure proper training in standard operating procedures and equipment-specific requirements, and coordinate experimental protocols with other lab users. You will perform all administrative duties associated with running the laboratory, including timesheet maintenance, ordering and receipt of supplies, budget projections, and more. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Science, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience in a laboratory environment with managerial experience. You will be proficient in verbal and written English, mathematics, and computer skills, including data entry and spreadsheet use. You will also have a general understanding of clinical research and grants preparation/submissions.

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Science, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in a laboratory environment with managerial experience

* General understanding of clinical research and grants preparation/submissions
