About the Role

The Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Event Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of events from start to finish to ensure successful outcomes for the organization and its clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Execution: Prepare tailored sponsorship packages, sell event sponsorships, and manage event budgets to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Logistics and Time Management: Implement effective time management strategies to meet event deadlines, manage event resources, and track expenses.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Negotiate and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality events.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and drive attendance.
  • Guest Services: Provide excellent guest services to ensure attendee satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, public relations, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years or more experience in event planning and execution, with a proven track record of organizing successful events.
  • Skills: Upselling, negotiation, budget management, logistics, event management, marketing strategy, hospitality, communication skills, emotional intelligence, and creative problem-solving.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Compensation
  • Salary: $60,000 per year plus commission.
