Front Desk Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Columbia. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience during their stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-notch service to guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing room assignments and payments.
  • Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications, maintaining up-to-date records and communicating effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and policies, as well as local attractions and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and a positive guest experience.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in hotel software systems.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
