Penn State Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in the Cardiovascular Unit.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant to assist with basic patient care activities and related non-professional services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care activities, such as vital sign checks and medication administration
  • Perform routine medical tasks, including phlebotomy and electrocardiography
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatment plans
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a cardiovascular unit
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
