Job Overview

LDR, a private equity firm focused on investing in micro-cap industrial manufacturing businesses, is seeking an experienced Private Equity Associate Underwriting Team Member.

About the Role

This dynamic role involves building complex financial models to evaluate potential investments, conducting scenario analyses, and collaborating with senior leadership to develop comprehensive investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop accurate and reliable financial models to determine optimal purchase prices and capital structures for new platforms and add-on investments.
  • Conduct thorough SOTP valuations and scenario analyses to identify attractive entry points and returns under various scenarios.
  • Collaborate with the sourcing team to perform comprehensive due diligence, summarizing findings in professional investment committee memoranda supported by detailed data packs.
  • Lead discussions with senior managers and the investment committee on financial models and assumptions, providing confident conclusions and recommendations.
  • Oversee acquisition due diligence as team leader, working closely with sellers and coordinating third-party diligence partners to ensure seamless transactions.
Requirements
  • Strong academic credentials and achievement.
  • At least 2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or industrials-related operations or leadership roles.
  • Experience collaborating with senior leadership across a wide range of tasks.
  • Preferred: Experience in industrials, manufacturing, or related industries, experience building investment committee memoranda and associated data packs.
