Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair structures, including foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs, using various materials such as wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites.
  • Fabricate and install window frames, doors, door frames, and door hardware, ensuring precise measurements and quality finishes.
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Shape and cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws, to create precise fits and finishes.
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
  • Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
  • Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of experience in commercial or residential carpentry.
  • Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans, and other specifications.
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety and ability to complete a company-specific safety orientation.
