Job Title: Project Superintendent

The Project Superintendent plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient production of HVAC structural frames. This individual will foster a culture of open communication and continuous improvement, keeping both management and employees informed on the status of operations and progress towards production goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize Safety, Quality, and Housekeeping: Ensure a safe working environment, maintain high-quality standards, and promote a clean and organized workspace.
  • Monitor Employee Productivity: Track employee performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Provide Coaching and Counseling: Offer guidance and support to employees, helping them to develop their skills and address any challenges they may face.
  • Manage Employee Time and Record Keeping: Accurately record employee hours, monitor time-off requests, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and Submit Production Reports: Generate daily reports on production progress, highlighting any challenges or successes.
  • Comply with Manufacturing Build Schedules: Ensure that production schedules are met, and deadlines are respected.
  • Increase Production Output through Lean Principles: Implement lean manufacturing techniques to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
  • Manage Employee Hours to Fulfill Orders under Budget: Balance employee hours with production demands, ensuring that orders are fulfilled within budget.
  • Review Drawings to Ensure Production Feasibility: Examine blueprints and schematics to guarantee that production is feasible and efficient.
  • Build a High-Performing Team: Foster a positive and productive team environment, encouraging collaboration and open communication.
  • Able to Effectively Troubleshoot and Permanently Solve Production Issues: Identify and resolve production problems, implementing long-term solutions to prevent similar issues from arising.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 Years of Supervisory Experience: Proven track record of successfully leading teams and managing production processes.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Process Flow: Familiarity with production workflows, identifying bottlenecks and constraints.
  • Knowledge of Welding, Structural Steel Processes, and Pipe Installation: Familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Ability to Work Independently and in a Team Environment: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in both independent and team-based settings.
  • Ability to Read Blueprints and Schematics: Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees and management.
  • Fluency in Email, Spreadsheets, Word Processing, and Presentation Software: Proficiency in using relevant software applications to manage production processes and communicate with team members.
  • Must be Hands-On: Willingness to spend 90% of time on the production floor, working closely with employees and monitoring production processes.
Education Requirements:
  • Minimum of a High School Education or Equivalent: Basic education requirement for the role.
  • Trade School Completion Preferred: Relevant trade school education or certification is highly desirable.
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
  • Ability to Work in Conditions of Varying Heat and Cold: Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
  • Ability to Lift 50 lbs: Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Ability to Stand, Walk, Bend, Stoop, Push, and Pull Throughout the Shift: Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
