Rochester Electronics is seeking a qualified Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team.

Overview

This role is essential in supporting the Test Operations department through the Repair, Preventative Maintenance, and Calibration of machinery utilized in the production testing and development of semiconductor devices. The selected candidate will engage in daily communication and collaboration with various internal teams, including Test Operations, Engineering, and Quality, to contribute to the achievement of organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing, updating, and reviewing technical documentation, including Preventative Maintenance schedules, Calibration records, and process specifications.
  • Executing repairs, calibrations, and preventative maintenance on diverse semiconductor testing platforms and automation systems, such as pick and place systems and gravity-fed handling equipment.
  • Modifying semiconductor testing and automation equipment configurations to align with production needs.
  • Providing ongoing production and engineering support to ensure timely customer shipments.
  • Managing additional responsibilities as they arise, including maintaining spare parts inventory and ordering necessary components.
  • Updating and maintaining the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Overseeing the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
  • Facilitating the decommissioning of equipment, which includes the physical removal of machinery from the production area.
  • Contributing to the 5S Program to enhance workplace organization and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in equipment maintenance is required.
  • Familiarity with the following equipment is advantageous:
  1. Automated test equipment for components
  2. Automated handling systems for components
  3. Device programming tools
  4. Wafer probing systems
  5. Temperature control equipment
  6. Basic laboratory instruments
  7. Burn-in testing chambers
  8. Personal computing devices
  9. Telecommunication devices
