GENERAL SUMMARY
This Office Sanitation Specialist is tasked with ensuring that workspaces, offices, and facilities are kept clean and organized through the use of janitorial supplies, waste removal, and executing special cleaning projects as directed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Buffing, waxing, and stripping of floors.
  • General cleaning and dusting within an office environment.
  • Management of janitorial closets.
  • Disposal of waste materials.
  • Cleaning of kitchen and restroom facilities.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monthly inventory of supplies required and routine maintenance tasks as assigned.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in janitorial and office cleaning is preferred. A proven history of reliability with excellent attendance and punctuality is essential.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Social/Environmental Requirements:
Ability to work independently as necessary. Must meet attendance and punctuality expectations. Exposure to hot and cold working conditions.

Sensory Requirements:
Must be able to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements:
Medium to heavy physical work; occasionally exerting force/pushing/lifting/carrying items up to 50 lbs., reaching above and below shoulder height. Frequent walking, standing, twisting, and bending. Power grasping/manipulation/pushing/pulling with one or both hands. Light to moderate keyboard use. Endurance for up to 5-6 hours without a break. Travel between buildings is required, preferably by car.
