Key Responsibilities of Financial Operations Manager
- Manage all accounting functions, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory management, revenue recognition, and asset oversight.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to evaluate operational outcomes regarding profitability, budget adherence, and overall organizational efficiency. Implement process enhancements and update operational guidelines.
- Participate in budget creation and financial forecasting, establish and uphold planning and control mechanisms, including the cost accounting framework, and assess and report on variances.
- Generate internal financial reports, refine and enhance reporting processes for improved utility and efficiency, and prepare external reports as required.
- Conduct and oversee biannual physical inventory assessments.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to address issues related to accounting systems and financial strategy.
Preferred Qualifications for Financial Operations Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting, financial reporting, and budget oversight.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and financial compliance standards.
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems, ideally Dynamics 365.
- Strong leadership capabilities and experience in team management.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $100,000-$115,000, commensurate with experience.
