Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a Radiology Technologist PRN, you will provide technical assistance to physicians in the Surgical and Imaging departments with diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiological and interventional procedures in a timely manner, documenting required information and communicating with primary physicians and direct care staff.
  • Coordinate and assist patient care in collaboration with radiology technologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.
  • Evaluate patient condition to perform radiological and interventional exams.
  • Inform and explain procedures to patients, ensuring their cooperation.
  • Provide comprehensive direct patient care, ensuring a safe and comforting environment.
  • Consult with staff as necessary to meet patient needs.
  • Ensure availability of clinical equipment and supplies, utilizing them safely.
  • possess knowledge of patient growth and development across the lifespan.
  • Perform Point of Care procedures according to established policy and procedure, documenting required information and complying with quality control standards.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Radiology from a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program or equivalent.
  • Current Medical Radiologic Technologist certification with the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
  • Current radiology registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)/Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
